In our annual Christmas article, our CIO Jonathan Marriott responds to a letter from someone who has received gifts for each of the 12 Days of Christmas.
Dear LGT Vestra,
My true love has been sending presents to me every day for the last twelve days. Each day I am given all the gifts that have been given to me the days before along with a new one. Each day it multiplies and accumulates. Today is the twelfth day of Christmas and my true love has sent me:
Twelve drummers drumming, eleven pipers piping, ten ladies dancing, nine Lords a-leaping, eight maids a-milking, seven swans a-swimming, six geese a-laying, five gold rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree
Whilst not wishing to discourage such generosity of heart, I am somewhat overwhelmed. Please could you advise on how to best manage these investments?
