Working with The Prince’s Trust

We believe that every young person deserves the chance to succeed. One of the charities we work with is centred around helping young people achieve success.

We are proud to work with The Prince's Trust as our charity partner. The Prince's Trust is the UK's leading youth charity, helping disadvantaged 11 - 30 year olds who are unemployed or struggling at school. The Prince's Trust gives vulnerable young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise and transform their lives. They hold a range of proven, high-quality education and training programmes which help young people to recognise their strengths, build their confidence and develop key workplace skills. These programmes offer a vital lifeline to young people.

Three in four young people who are supported by The Prince's Trust move into work, education or training. Over the last forty years the charity has directly helped over 825,000 young people and they continue to support over 100 more each day.

To support The Prince's Trust, we hold and participate in a variety of activities throughout the year.

  • Annual Dodgeball Tournament
  • Milllion Makers
  • Prince to Prince
  • Our annual Dodgeball Tournament is into its 7th year. Teams from across the City compete for the coveted title of Dodgeball Champion, whilst raising money for The Prince's Trust.
  • This year we are delighted to be hosting the event in London and Bristol.

Please contact dodgeball@lgtvestra.com for more information on this year's tournament.

  • A team of 10 LGT Vestra employees are competing in the annual Million Makers fundraising challenge.
  • The aim is to turn our initial investment of £1,500 into at least £10,000 profit over six months, however we are hoping to exceed this.
  • Alongside the other Million Makers teams, the combined objective is to raise £1 million for The Prince’s Trust.
  • Our current fundraising activity is the Walk to the Moon Challenge, which involves all members of staff attempting to collectively walk the 363,000km to the Moon in six months.
  • This challenge helps to promote and maintain a culture of health and wellbeing, whilst contributing to our team spirit and fundraising for Million Makers.
  • If you wish to donate to this initiative, please visit our JustGiving page.
  • Our upcoming fundraising activities include the Vaduz to Vienna bike ride challenge and a charity auction.
  • Following the success of the 2016 Prince to Prince ride from London to Liechtenstein, 11 cyclists and a support crew are taking on the challenge to cycle from Vaduz castle in Vaduz to the Liechtenstein City Palace in Vienna as part of Prince to Prince II.

  • Over six days the team will cycle the 720km route that includes through the Alps and crossing Liechtenstein, German and Austrian borders.

  • The purpose of the cycle is to raise funds to support the important work of our charity partner, The Prince's Trust. To support the Prince to Prince II cyclists and The Prince's Trust click here.
